CHI St. Alexius Health is a regional health network with a tertiary hospital in Bismarck, the system also consists of critical access hospitals (CAHs) in Carrington, Dickinson, Devils Lake, Garrison, Turtle Lake, Washburn and Williston and numerous clinics and outpatient services. CHI St. Alexius Health manages four CAHs in North Dakota - Elgin, Linton, and Wishek, as well as Mobridge Regional Medical Center in Mobridge, S.D. Works under the supervision of SIM-ND Educator/Coordinator. The SIM-ND Educator/Technician performs a full range of professional duties in assisting colleagues in implementing simulation curriculum. The duties will include providing a safe environment and quality educational experience for all participants.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Completion of a degree or certification program in one of the following areas Paramedic, EMT-I or EMT-A, Respiratory Therapist or Registered Nurse (Bachelors or Master’s degree preferred).
Licensure: Must be licensed to practice in the State of North Dakota as a Registered Nurse, Paramedic, EMT-I or EMT-A or Respiratory Therapist. State or National instructor certification in one or more of the following courses: TNCC, PHTLS, ACLS, PEPP, PALS, NRP, ATLS, or willing to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
Experience: Minimum of five years of clinical experience.Theoretical knowledge and clinical expertise for adult learning. Evidence of ability to teach effectively. Knowledge of curriculum implementation and evaluation.
Skills: Successful completion of ND STAR Simulation pre-training and continued annual training.
Interpersonal Skills: Evidence of the following qualities: Responsibility and integrity, ability to relate effectively to others, function effectively in a team setting, professionalism, ability to work under pressure, flexibility, creativity, ability to manage time efficiently, willingness to work outside of normal business hours (evenings/weekends), interest in and commitment to Mobile Simulation
