Responsibilities

 Individuals performing the role of medical assistant will be responsible for supporting a provider(s) during course of a patient visit; including pre-visit, visit and post visit services.  This individual must maintain a high level of customer service and operational efficiency as a member of the care team performing a variety of tasks, under direct supervision of the provider(s).

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

  1. Monitor schedule(s) and organize/plan patient flow with communication to/from provider.
  2. Accompany patients to/from the waiting room to the appropriate exam/procedure room or service area.
  3. Collect and document appropriate visit information.
  4. Measure and record patient vitals
  5. Prepare patient and rooms for exams/procedures
  6. Schedule patient procedures/tests and/or appointments as needed.
  7. Completes forms, letters and other follow up as requested by provider.
  8. Assists provider(s) during patient procedures
  9. Cleans and restocks exam and treatment rooms, as needed

Qualifications

Requirements

High school diploma

Gradudate of a Medical Assistant course

CPR certification

Computer literacy, past experience within a service industry

 

Preferred

Health related training or course of study, such as medical terminology, pharmacology, nursing, etc.
