Responsibilities

The Speech Language Pathologist will assess present and potential problems, needs and resources of the patient utilizing standardized testing, observation and review of medical records. The Speech Pathologist will plan and implement patient treatment and administers therapy sessions according to the plan of treatment and patient tolerance levels.

 

  • Evaluate hearing or speech and language test results, barium swallow results, or medical or background information to diagnose and plan treatment for speech, language, fluency, voice, or swallowing disorders
  • Maintain proper documentation such patient information, initial evaluation, treatment, progress, and discharge
  • Demonstrates competence with clinical skills necessary to provide care appropriately to all the patient groups served by the speech language pathology service
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatments accordingly

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology required
  • One year experience as a Speech Pathologist required 
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification (BCLS) Required
  • Speech Language Pathologist License required
