The Outpatient Infusion Center Nurse Coordinator is responsible for assisting with organizing, planning, leading, and directing clinical and management activities in the outpatient infusion centers.  The coordinator contributes to organizational operations.  Accountable for daily supervision of patient/nursing care delivery. The coordinator participates as a member of the health care team in maintaining continuity and quality of patient care.  This position reports to the Oncology Clinical Services Director.

1. Identify and participate in the establishment of nursing and ancillary staff development programs to support the necessary skills needed to provide outstanding care to the patient population.
2. Participate in the establishment and annual assurance of competencies for all patient care staff in the department.
3. Manages clinical and non-clinical activities in the infusion center.
4. Coordinates all outpatient infusion center activities for the smooth throughput of patients and operations of the department.
5. Participates in recruitment and retention of staff.
6. Work collaboratively with all departments to achieve and maintain high patient satisfaction scores.
7. Meet the compliance standards of various regulatory bodies with affect the provision of services, to include the Joint Commission, life safety, state, federal and other regulatory bodies.
8. Departmental management to ensure operations within budgetary requirements.
9. Other duties as assigned by management.

Required Education	Graduate of an accredited school of nursing BSN or actively pursuing BSN
Required Licensure and Certifications	Active RN license in Tennessee. BCLS required at time of hire. Chemotherapy certification required.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities	Two years as a charge nurse in a hospital or outpatient setting.  Five years recent nursing experience.
PREFERRED Qualifications	OCN certification preferred Prior leadership, staffing or budget management preferred
