CHI St. Alexius Health is a regional health network with a tertiary hospital in Bismarck, the system also consists of critical access hospitals (CAHs) in Carrington, Dickinson, Devils Lake, Garrison, Turtle Lake, Washburn and Williston and numerous clinics and outpatient services. CHI St. Alexius Health manages four CAHs in North Dakota - Elgin, Linton, and Wishek, as well as Mobridge Regional Medical Center in Mobridge, S.D. CHI St. Alexius Health offers a comprehensive line of inpatient and outpatient medical services, including: a Level II Trauma Center, primary and specialty physician clinics, home health and hospice services, durable medical equipment services, a fitness and human performance center and ancillary services throughout western and central North Dakota.

Provides specialized and routine histologic procedures and tests to aid in the detection, diagnosis and treatment of disease. Demonstrates knowledge learned through certification.
Required Education for Staff Job Levels
As per American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) national requirements. ( 4 yr degree)
Requires certification by ASCP ( American Society for Clinical Pathology) as a HTL, or is registered with ASCP as a Medical Technologist ( Clinical Laboratory Scientist) and commits to passing the HTL certification exam within one year of eligibility.

Technical skills of a histotechnologist, or Medical technologist, and computer skills.
Relates well with Pathologists, staff, patients, and visitors
Good communication skills

PREFERRED Education and/or Experience
BS degree along with certification by ASCP as a HTL; 1 year of laboratory experience preferred
