CHI St. Luke's Health–The Vintage Hospital provides high-quality, compassionate care for residents of the Willowbrook, Champions, and Tomball areas of Northwest Houston. With the resources of the CHI St. Luke’s Health system, we are able to deliver the most advanced care available to our Northwest Houston community. The Vintage Hospital offers the latest in diagnostic and surgical expertise, including heart care, women’s health, and orthopedics.

The ICU at St. Luke's Vintage Hospital is a 12 bed critical care unit that provides high-quality and compassionate care for the resident of Northwest Houston, Cypress, and Tomball area.  

Job Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse in the ICU, you will be responsible for delivering the highest quality patient care according to the specific orders of each patient’s individual physician. This will involve, utilizing your knowledge and skills to educate patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits.

Additional responsibilities for this health care role include:

• Monitoring patients’ conditions and assessing their needs
• Collaborating with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients
• Administering patients’ medications and providing treatments according to physicians’ orders
• Fostering a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families

We are excited to share our Winter Program for Critical Care nurses during the winter season.  This would be a 16-week assignment, and at the end of the program, you will have the option to apply for full-time benefited positions.   Nurse to patient ratio is 1:1 or 1:2, depending on the unit.  Our program offers two options for experienced ICU nurses.

Option 1

2 shifts / week or 4 shifts per pay period

Saturday and Sunday shift every other weekend 

2 major holidays

Pay rate: $60/hr

Option 2

3 shifts / week

Saturday and Sunday shift every other weekend 

3 holidays

Pay Rate: $65.00/hr 

Job Requirements
We are looking for a responsible and compassionate ICU Registered Nurse with top-notch clinical skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. It is also important to display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to effectively educate patients and their families on the in-home healthcare process.

Additional requirements for this role include:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state
• One or more years of experience in the ICU as a Registered Nurse
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required
• Specialty certification (ex: CCRN) preferred 
• Additional certification or licensure may be required for some specialty areas
