Ringgold County Hospital opened on April 17, 1951, with 21 employees. Today, we offer the skills and expertise of over 125 employees, many in positions using technology not yet imagined in 1951. The hospital has been managed through an affiliation agreement with Mercy Medical Center-Des Moines since 1986, which provides administrative and other support services at the hospital’s request. In the current health-care environment, it is critical for our hospital to stay abreast of new developments and technologies and gain advantages from sharing resources to benefit those we serve.
The hospital president (CEO) has the responsibility/accountability for every aspect of hospital operations including the delivery of strong financial performance. The President is responsible for leading the strategic initiatives of the hospital, service lines, and physician partners. Responsible for the quality, safety, and experience of our patients, and physicians. Development of meaningful relationships with our board, community, outside organizations, and referring providers/organizations. Drive operational excellence and positive culture throughout the organization. Safeguard required compliance with State, Federal and CMS regulations and other credentialing /regulatory organizations.
