We are looking for a PRN home care Occupational Therapist to join our growing team in Pierce County.

The Occupational Therapist develops and implements the home care plan for the occupational rehabilitation of patients under the direction of the attending physician and the Manager of Clinical Services.

• Adheres to the Corporate Compliance Program, including confidentiality of HIPAA protected health information. Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
• Performs initial occupational therapy patient evaluation. Performs occupational therapy treatments according to the physician’s plan of treatment and in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Establishes and updates the occupational therapy plan of treatment. Reports changes in patient condition to appropriate personnel and the attending physician.
• Provides patient care education to patient and other caregivers.
• Demonstrates sensitivity to patient and/or caregivers needs, customs or feelings.
• Provides supervision for occupational therapy assistants as required by policy and regulations.
• Participates in coordination of services with other disciplines and community resources, as needed.
• Completes and submits all required documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
• Participates in case conferences, summary reports, quarterly record review and annual program review, in-services and special case orientations.
• Maintains productivity standards and availability requirements.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Currently licensed to practice in Washington.
• Must obtain and maintain current CPR Certification (all locations).
• One-year occupational therapy experience.
• Previous home care experience preferred.
