Basic knowledge of AA and NA programs
Education/Licensure:
High School Diploma or GED required
Current Med Aide Certificate with the state of Nebraska - helpful but not required. Needs to be able to obtain within 6 months
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Must have good interpersonal Skills to be able to de-escalate potential tense situations. Be able to listen with out judgement. Assist clients with daily treatment programing Perform basic lifesuppor/first aide if necessary.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of the current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual criteria and appropriate treatment planning for the various Chemical Dependency categories. Ability to determine the most appropriate level of care and triage patients accordingly. Basic knowledge of managed care and employee assistance service requirements. Ability to process and complete charting tasks in a timely manner. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage and prioritize a wide variety of tasks. Ability to constructively problem solve and resolve conflicts effectively. Demonstrates personal traits of a high level of motivation, team orientation, professionalism, trust, integrity and places a high value on treating others with dignity and respect.
