With our combined resources, CommonSpirit is committed to building healthy communities, advocating for those who are poor and vulnerable, and innovating how and where healing can happen, both inside our hospitals and out in the community.  The Substance Abuse unit is the first of its kind in Arkansas (brand new unit), and you will be an essential member of our team.  Do you have experience working in a medical detox, behavioral health, or psych unit


We provide:

  • The whole continuum of care.
  • Working through the 12 step program for medical detox.
  • High-quality residential care.
  • Partial hospitalization program (PHP).
  • IOP (intensive outpatient).

Our patients are here voluntarily not so you will have the opportunity to get to know them well and help them with their road to recovery.  Our unit is highly therapeutic, and patients will be in group therapy most of the day. We have ten detox beds, 30 residential & PHP beds, and additional 40 IOP patients. This is one of the first addiction recovery units based in a hospital and will provide our patients a safe environment to heal. Our leadership team has over 30+ years of experience in addiction recovery experience.

  • Collaborate with therapist, addiction therapist, and social workers to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Monitoring patients’ conditions and assessing their needs
  • Collaborating with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients
  • Administering patients’ medications and providing treatments according to physicians’ orders
  • Fostering a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families



Minimum Qualifications:


  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • 6 months experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required
