Health Information Management Rep Heart Clinic Arkansas

CHI St. Vincent Heart Clinic Arkansas has a full-time opportunity for a Health Information Management Rep to join our primary care nursing team in Little Rock. We are a cardiology subspecialty clinic for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and conditions of the heart and vascular systems.

As a HIM Rep, you will focus on retrieves charts from modules and transcription and transports them to the medical records department; delivers mail to each department; delivers and picks up all phone calls and charts needed and returns them to files for processing

Expectations:

• Assists all request made in medical record department per director request if other employees need assistance or physician and nursing staff request assistance.
• Completes red-out guide, pulls patient chart and takes chart along with phone message to appropriate physician/ nurse according to the policy and procedure manual.

• Prepares and delivers hospital list.

• Handles patient medical records, telephone calls and requests in confidential mannerism.

• Interfaces with patients in professional and courteous mannerism

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education:  High School Diploma, GED, Metropolitan Test or equivalent.

•  

  Experience:  Must be able to work under stress and be a team worker; must be highly motivated and have good communication and organizational skills; ability to work without close supervision.
