CHI St. Alexius Health officially announced the formation of its regional health care system on April 19, 2016. The system is the largest health care delivery system in central and western North Dakota and is comprised of a tertiary hospital in Bismarck, and critical access hospitals (CAHs) in Carrington, Dickinson, Devils Lake, Garrison, Turtle Lake, Washburn and Williston and numerous clinics and outpatient services. CHI St. Alexius Health manages five CAHs in North Dakota - Ashley, Elgin, Linton, and Wishek, as well as Mobridge Regional Medical Center in Mobridge, S.D.
Works under the supervision of the Director of Organizational Education. The SIM-ND Educator/Coordinator performs a full range of professional duties in assisting colleagues in implementing simulation curriculum. The duties will include providing a safe environment and quality educational experience for all participants.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Education: Nursing degree from an approved school of nursing. Bachelors or Master’s degree preferred.
Licensure: Must be licensed to practice registered nursing in the state of ND or in a compact state. State or National instructor certification in one or more of the following courses: TNCC, PHTLS, ACLS, PEPP, PALS, NRP, ATLS, or willing to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
Experience: Minimum of five years of clinical experience, two of those critical care experience. Theoretical knowledge and clinical expertise for adult learning. Evidence of ability to teach effectively. Knowledge of curriculum implementation and evaluation.
Skills: Successful completion of ND STAR Simulation pre-training and continued annual training.
Interpersonal Skills: Evidence of the following qualities: Responsibility and integrity, ability to relate effectively to others, function effectively in a team setting, professionalism, ability to work under pressure, flexibility, creativity, ability to manage time efficiently, willingness to work outside of normal business hours (evenings/weekends), interest in and commitment to Mobile Simulation.
