  1. or informs supervisor when situation warrants his/her attention. Prepares patient complaint tracking form and routes appropriately.


  1. Organizes and distributes mail.


  1. Edits and approves management group time cards.


  1. Co-Administrates the PolicyStat policy software uploading all new policies and monitoring all existing policies and job descriptions for annual reporting and review to Critical Access Committee, Medical Staff, Rural Health Clinic Committee, and Board of Directors.


  1. Maintains department equipment and supplies. Routinely checks the copier for faxes and resupplying copy paper.  Makes coffee and sorts mail upon arrival.  Tracks and maintains service recovery inventory.


  1. Attends meetings as required and participates on committees as directed. Takes meeting minutes for Mercy Foundation, Mercy Investment Committee, Grievance Committee, Patient and Family Advisory, Rural Health Clinic Committee, Safe Patient Handling Team, and provides support as needed for Administrative Council, Board of Directors, Department Managers, Advisory Council, and any others upon request.


  1. Maintains professional growth and development through education programs and in-service meetings. Completes required LEARN training in a timely manner.


  1. Performs notary services for patients and families.




  1. Assists department managers with various administrative tasks or duties.


  1. Assists Auxiliary with various tasks and duties.
  2. Assists Patient Access/Registration with patient assistance to departments as needed.


  1. Performs other duties as assigned by administrative team.

PREFERRED Qualifications


Three years previous secretarial experience.  Typing at 60+ wpm.  Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office experience (Excel/Publisher/Word/PowerPoint).  Bookkeeping and mathematical aptitude.  Writing and communication skills.  Notary designation within 90 days.
