JOB SUMMARY: The Market Director of the Magnet Program is accountable for coordinating activities required to attain and maintain ANCC Magnet recognition.. This individual will design the Magnet recognition program strategy by working collaboratively with the direct care providers, nursing leaders, and ancillary leadership colleagues across the organization. The MKT Director will research and promote excellence in nursing practice and serve as a catalyst for change to ensure CHI Memorial remains a national leader in nursing practice. In collaboration with other nursing leaders, the MKT Director facilitates a supportive environment for professionalism, excellence, collegiality, and continuous improvement. The individual who holds this position exemplifies the CHI Memorial mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Memorial policies and procedures. 

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, the Market Director of Magnet is responsible for the coordination and communication and the overall management of nursing quality at CHI Memorial. Monitors, reports, and coordinates actions related to nursing quality initiatives to promote high quality nursing care. Collaborates with ancillary departments, staff and physicians to promote appropriate high quality nursing care


Education:  Master Degree (MSN) required. Licensed/Registered to practice nursing in the State of Tennessee. 

Licensure/Certification: Current unencumbered RN license to practice in State of Tennessee, Professional Certification required. Professional membership required. 


Experience: 3 years in a Health care related field. One year experience in management, quality assurance work, patient placement and/ or case management, diagnosis coding and familiarity with national data base preferred. Excellent critical thinking skills and a strong background in process management also preferred.
