CHI Health has an immediate opportunity for a PRN Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) located at our Women's Clinic off of 72nd and Center!


Location: CUMC Bergan Women's Clinic


Clinic Stipend (reimbursement for up to $135 stipend related to licensing fees, professional association dues)

Our Medical Assistants are part of our healthcare team who treats patients with a variety of illnesses. You can expect to collaborate on comprehensive screenings, risk assessments, and preventative health education for patients.

You also have the patience to explain the provider’s instructions to patients when they have questions or confusion about their care. 


Key Job Responsibilities:

  1. Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
  2. Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
  3. Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reason for visit.
  4. Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
  5. Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
  6. Cleans and sterilizes instruments.
  7. Ensures patient exam rooms are stocked, clean, and orderly.
  8. Escalates non-routine issues, questions and/or concerns timely and appropriately.
  9. Ensures safety checklists and quality controls are completed as required and necessary action taken if indicated.
  10. Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned.



  1. Graduate of medical assisting program accredited by Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP) 

Licenses & Certifications:

  1. Active status on Nebraska Medication Aide Registry within 90 days of hire
  2. Current/valid nationally recognized certification, registration or recognition for medical assistants (AAMA/CMA, RMA, NCMA)
  3.  Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required upon hire
