  • Manages and provide leadership to all aspects of patient scheduling and access to ensure efficient, effective, complete, accurate and appropriate for procedure as ordered by Physician. Timely scheduling of services in a manner to maximize patient service volume, minimize uncollectible revenue, and increase patient satisfaction.
  • Provides leadership in the development and evaluation of policy and procedures addressing system-wide operations of medical access function; in some cases provided by a partner vendor. Develops, coordinates operational standardization, service standards and approaches; works collaboratively with vendor to assure consistency of practice and customer experience across the division.
  • Develops and manages capital and operational budgets in support of strategic plans and goals for Patient access and Scheduling functions, as appropriate. Develops, monitors, and responds to a full range of financial, service, and quality indicators in all areas.
  • Provides support, interacts, and serves as a clinical resource to MAC staff, and as needed vendor teams as it relates to Division practices and policies. Maintains clinical competency. Functions as a resource for policy and procedure interpretation.
  • Coordinates and manages operating systems, operational standardization, service standards and communication methods in line with system policies and processes.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Process improvement and change management skills
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in ambiguous and rapidly change situations
  • Two (2) years of experience in an Access Center
