Responsibilities

MercyOne ENT Audiology Department is looking for an Audiologist to join their team! Responsibilities include the identification and assessment of hearing impairment, including the prescription of and working with hearing aids for all ages of patients in the outpatient and inpatient setting.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Utilizes professional and tactful communication to enhance clinic services.
  • Measures the hearing ability of children and adults.
  • Identifies the presence and severity of hearing problems.
  • Assesses the benefit of amplification devices, such as hearing aids.
  • Demonstrates current level of knowledge of various payor regulations by functioning within those guidelines.
  • Instructs in the care and maintenance of amplification and other assistive devices.
  • Collaborates consultations with team of professionals and with individuals and families or care givers on strategies and solutions to communication needs of a child or adult with heavy loss.
  • Administers and Interprets screening assessment and diagnostic procedures such as air conduction, bone conduction, speech audiometry, acoustic omittance tests, evoked potential tests, and electronystagmography.
  • Complies with regulatory agencies.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Requires a masters degree and certification by ASHA (American Speech - Language - Hearing Association).  
  • Must be licensed and maintain the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
