  • Performs basic office or clerical duties involving word processing, filing, copying, and other clerical tasks of a diverse nature.
  • Answers office telephones. Directs the call or relays a message to appropriate individual.  Gives accurate routine information to the public.  Records the necessary information for College brochure requests, conveying messages promptly to appropriate individuals.
  • Provides accurate directions, information, and, if necessary, escort to the public.
  • Knowledgeable of the Fire/Disaster and Security plans and acts accordingly if need arises.
  • Provides services to the College staff and students, demonstrating confidentiality and customer relations principles.
  • Assists in special projects for the College as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • High school diploma or GED
  • Word processing experience preferred (with ability to type 35-40 wpm).
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Must be a Current Student at Mercy College
