Located in beautiful Angels Camp, California, James Dalton Medical Office is an outpatient clinic of the county’s Critical Access Hospital, Mark Twain Medical Center. Nested in California’s Gold Country, Angels Camp is a historic town renowned for its Gold Rush legacy, charming streets, and annual Calaveras County Fair. Surrounded by scenic hills and vineyards, it offers a variety of outdoor activities: hiking, swimming, kayaking, skiing, snowboarding, etc.

Our Physician is critical to the success of Mark Twain St. Josephs Hospital and requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health.  It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.
 
Provides primary healthcare services for patients and families, focusing on wellness and health promotion.   • Provide comprehensive primary care within the regulatory guidelines set by the State of California and Rural health Clinic Code of Federal Regulations including performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and prescribing and minister medical treatments and medication; collaborate/supervise with the nurse practitioner/physician assistant in order to plan and coordinate patient care.
  • Determine routine medical orders.
  • Participate in the development, execution and annual review of the written policies/procedures covering the services provided; participate in annual review of patient health records and utilization review studies of the Clinic services.
  • Maintain confidentiality of PHI and ensure patient's right to privacy.
  • Obtain a health history and access the stated health of the patient in order to determine health care needs and document findings in the medical record.

Qualifications

Minimum Requrirements:

  • At least one year experience in General Medicine

Education: 

  • Graduate of an approved medical school. Completed internship and/or residency
  • Licensed as a physician in the state of California
  • Demonstrated insurability for professional liability

Special Skills:

  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to make quality independent decisions
