Responsibilities

The Listen For Life Center at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Seattle, WA is seeking an experienced, full time cochlear implant audiologist to join our team and help
bridge the gap between hearing loss and effective communication. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with a committed group of cochlear implant audiologists and
surgeons in a collaborative team setting in one of the largest programs in the Northwest.

 

You will make a profound difference in the lives of individuals with hearing loss. By combining advanced technology with personalized care, the applicant will be invested in
fostering patients' awareness of the hearing world around them, as well as to improve communication and quality of life.


Duties:

  • Cochlear implant responsibilities include evaluation and counseling,programming, troubleshooting, remote care, and collaboration with a
    multidisciplinary team of surgeons, audiologists, and coordinators
  • Provide counseling and education to patients and their families regarding hearing loss, communication strategies and technology
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in cochlear implant research and technology
  • Participate in existing clinical research projects and develop new projects for exploration.

Qualifications

We Require

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Audiologist
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to provide exceptional patient service
  • Proficiency in conducting patient assessment, interpreting test results and programming patients with all 3 FDA approved cochlear implant devices.
