As our System Director Senior Counsel with CommonSpirit Health in Englewood, Colorado, you’ll provide direct, high-level legal services and be a thought leader and trusted advisor primarily to one or more of CommonSpirit’s seven Operating Divisions.
In this role, you will serve as a legal subject matter expert providing sophisticated legal advice to assigned Operating Division leadership, management, boards, and committees, as well as to other members of the Legal Team.
Every day, you will provide strategic legal counsel across multiple business units, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and organizational goals. You will be expected to manage complex legal matters, lead negotiations, draft and review contracts, and advise leadership on legal risks and opportunities.
To be successful in this role, you must have a deep understanding of healthcare law, strong leadership capabilities, and extensive experience in corporate legal matters. Your proven track record in guiding organizations through complex legal landscapes will be essential in shaping our legal strategies.

Job Summary / Purpose
This Senior Counsel role serves as Legal Operations Counsel to an assigned grouping of hospitals within the Mountain Region, which includes facitlites within Utah, Colroado and Kansas, providing direct, day-to-day advice and counsel to the operators, overseeing physician and non-physician contracting, and serving as a partner and trusted advisor to hospital leadership. This position will report to the Mountain Region General Counsel.
