Responsibilities

The Mental Health Worker performs nursing duties for (adult and geriatric patients) within the guidelines of hospital policies and procedures. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Community Hospital of San Bernardino. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support Community Hospital of San Bernardino strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement process and activities.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one (1) year Mental Health Worker experience working with psychiatric patients either in an inpatient residential outpatient setting or comparable equivalent.
  • AA Degree / Equivalent Education in a related field is preferred.
  • Certified Nurses Aid (CNA)certification OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers.
