Responsibilities

About this position:
 
In keeping with the Dignity Health core values the Clinical Nurse II is an experienced practitioner who demonstrates in-depth knowledge of nursing patient care and the ability to practice independently. The Clinical Nurse II also serves as a resource person as well as a preceptor and under minimal supervision the Clinical Nurse II identifies and implements nursing interventions that have predictable outcomes and evaluates the results of these interventions for a given patient population.
 
Flexible Staffing Pool Registered Nurses are assigned to different areas according to staffing and patient acuity needs. The assignment can change during a specific shift at St. Johns Regional Medical Center or St. Johns Pleasant Valley Hospital. 
 
This position is represented by SEIU Local 121RN and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. 
 

 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • California Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Two (2) years of current Acute Care Med-Surg or Telemetry experience
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing
  • After one (1) year may be required to become Progressive Care Pediatric Chemotherapy or Rehab Nurse Certified.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One (1) year of Step Down level experience preferred over Telemetry experience
  • EKG Basic Arrhythmia and/or ACLS Certification preferred
  • BSN preferred
