Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant (PA), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.

Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans.   • Performs routine physical/psychosocial assessment to collect basic data: follows the written plan of care, standards, practice guidelines, utilizes pathways, which includes notifying physicians as appropriate
  • Formulates a plan of care for individual needs, including patient population needs. Participates in the planning of routine transitional health care needs (i.e. treatment options, patient placement options)
  • Adapts planned educational programs and information to individual patients and family by modifying teaching strategies or content. Integrates education during the delivery of patient care
  • Ensures efficiency in the delivery of care to determine immediate priorities and to offer solutions for problems
  • Makes independent clinical decisions based on knowledge drawn from education and experience
  • Actively advocates for patient rights and identifies potential conflict. Seeks counsel for resolution of conflict
 
 

 

 

 

Job Requirements

Required:
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Physician Assistant in an outpatient primary care clinic, community health center, etc. required
  • Must hold an academic degree and completion of a specialized Physician Assistant Training Program required
  • Possession of a license granted by the Board of Medical Quality Assurance, BLS required; CT CPRBLS;CT PA
Preferred:
  • Ability to verbally communicate in Spanish is highly desirable
  • ACLS preferred
