Job Summary and Responsibilities

Are you a highly skilled and compassionate Pharmacist committed to optimizing patient outcomes? Join our collaborative, fast-paced environment!

 

You'll deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical services, making a direct patient impact, collaborating across disciplines, and guiding future pharmacy professionals.

 

You will:

  • Clinical Documentation: Document activities and interventions (consults, patient teachings).
  • Order Verification & Dispensing: Interpret, verify, enter, label, and dispense medications accurately and timely.
  • Quality Assurance: Rigorously verify/check medications prepared by other pharmacy personnel.
  • Expert Drug Information: Communicate drug information to patients and health professionals.
  • Problem Resolution: Resolve drug-related problems by consulting with healthcare providers; clarify orders and assist in drug selection/therapeutic regimens.
  • Clinical Services: Provide basic clinical services for all age groups as required by policy.
  • System & Team Management: Maintain knowledge of automated systems; provide direction/guidance to technicians.
  • Education & Mentorship: Participate in training/mentoring pharmacy students, interns, technicians, residents, and other professionals. (May serve as Residency Program Director/Coordinator.)
  • Compliance & Ongoing Education: Adhere to regulatory requirements; complete mandatory system/department education.
  • Patient Counseling: Provide comprehensive patient counseling and drug information.

Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

  • Profound Pharmaceutical Knowledge: Strong grasp of pharmacy services, practice concepts, laws, and regulations.
  • Exceptional Clinical Judgment: Ability to assess complex medication profiles and make critical decisions.
  • Superior Communication & Leadership: Effectively consult, teach, and collaborate; guide and mentor.
  • Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
  • Required Licensure & Certifications: Oregon Pharmacist License, BLS-CPR.
  • Preferred: ACLS.
