CHI Health Schuyler opened its doors on October 11 1953 serving the communities of Schuyler Clarkson Howells Leigh and the residents of rural Colfax County in Nebraska. In addition to its 25 critical access beds CHI Health Schuyler offers a wide variety of services to residents–children teens adults senior citizens friends and neighbors. CHI Health Schuyler is proud to provide health care services close to home.
Contributes to the fulfillment of the CHI Health mission and vision by providing for the maintenance and repair of a wide variety of electro-mechanical systems, including all security systems. Contributes to the planning, design, and implementation of maintenance programs, policies, and procedures. Specific environmental attributes include maintaining and repairing equipment, buildings and grounds.
Works collaboratively with management to achieve system objectives which are responsive to specific patient needs by fostering a continuous improvement philosophy to serve the needs of all customers. Has contact with other staff and staff of other CHI Health facilities, but does not have direct patient contact.
Responsible for repair and maintenance of all hospital-owned buildings and grounds. Works in conjunction with CHI Health BIOMED or Bio-Electronics to ensure a preventive maintenance program promoting safe and effective use of medical equipment is operational and on-going.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training | If working in a unit located in or traveling to Iowa, or a Behavioral Health/Psych unit: Mandatory Reporter Adult and Mandatory Reporter Child - within 6 months; tracked through Learning system Knowledge of computer systems and productivity software. Skill to read and interpret building drawings. Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and professional building standards. Project management skills along with good communication skills. Ability to work with teams in a collaborative system |
