Located in the Phoenix Ariz. suburb of Chandler the Chandler Regional Medical Center is a 338-bed not-for-profit hospital with more than 2500 employees and almost 1000 doctors on staff representing all major specialties. Responsibilities

The Patient Care Technician performs patient care related tasks. Assists patients with activities of daily living and provides direct patient care under supervision of Nurse. Obtains and records patient vital signs. Monitors and records daily intake and output. Obtains specimens including non-invasive body fluids and blood specimens. Performs EKGs and blood glucose monitoring. Monitors and performs actions to decrease patient length of stay including but not limited to: performing timely designated discharge duties and communicating discharge information to appropriate staff. Assists Physician/Nurse with diagnostic tests clinical procedures and other tasks as requested. Communicates patient needs and observed/reported changes in patient condition to supervising Nurse or Physician. Documents all interactions in patient's medical record.

Qualifications

  • Education High School Diploma GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • BLS-CPR
