Responsibilities

Maintenance Mechanic – St. Bernardine Medical Center


Join a dedicated facilities team that helps power the healing environment at St. Bernardine Medical Center. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. From routine maintenance to urgent troubleshooting, your work will directly support patient safety and comfort throughout the hospital.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Interpret diagrams, sketches, and manuals to ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications.
  • Conduct facility rounds, identify repair needs, and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Support a safe and well-functioning environment aligned with the hospital’s mission and values.
  • Contribute to ongoing quality and process improvement efforts within the facility operations team.

Qualifications

  • Two years mechanical and general building maintenance work experience that consisted of electrical plumbing and HVAC work
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • EPA Refrigerant Transition preferred
