Responsibilities

As a Mammography Technologist, you will operate under direct supervision to harness your specialized skills to produce high-quality mammographic images for both screening and diagnostic purposes tailored to a specific patient population. You'll play a vital role in completing essential documentation for MQSA, ACR, and FDA accreditations. Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality mammographic examinations in alignment with established protocols and safety standards.
Keep precise and thorough patient records, guaranteeing compliance with MQSA, ACR, and FDA regulations.
Operate and maintain mammography equipment while conducting routine quality control checks.
Foster effective collaboration with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Provide compassionate and patient-centered care.
Engage in ongoing education to stay current with knowledge and skills.

Qualifications

Requires:

 

Current State of Washington licensure as a Certified Radiology Technologist. - Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R).
Successful completion of the Mammography certification (M) or attain ARRT (M) within 4 months of hire.
High school diploma or GED

 

Preferred: One year of Diagnostic Radiology experience and two years in mammography

 

Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
Comprehensive understanding of anatomy and physiology
Strong organizational capacity
Skill in managing stressful situations effectively.
Proven ability to multitask and work independently.
Flexibility and adaptability in your work approach.
Completion of 24 hours of continuing medical education every two years is mandatory.
Current CPR license (renewal required at specified intervals by VMFH).Quarterly involvement in American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire (resources provided internally)
