RN Neuro Interventional Radiology. Float between CUMC-Bergan Mercy and Immanuel and earn 25% hourly differential!  Some call required during week and weekends.

The Neuro Interventional Radiology RN is responsible for the safe care of patients undergoing Neuro Interventional Radiology Procedures: diagnostic, coilings, stenting, and thrombectomy.  The duties include Neuro Assessment with NIH, administration and monitoring  of moderate sedation, assisting with airway management, hemodynamic monitoring and management of critical care infusions.  Ability to respond to emergency situations and assists with the triage of inpatients and the daily procedural flow to insure optimal efficiencies.

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible to access, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care to a designated group of healthcare consumers across the continuum. Provide services which encompass the spiritual, physiological, social and psychological aspects of care of the sick, prevention of disease, or conversation of health.  The position contributes to the mission and core values of CHI Health.

Additional responsibilities for this health care role include:

  • This is a developing program, flexibility is a must.
  • Monitoring patients’ conditions and assessing their needs. 
  • Collaborating with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients
  • Administering patients’ medications and providing treatments according to physicians’ orders
  • Fostering a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families
  • Document all phases of the nursing process in the healthcare consumer’s records

 

Qualifications

We are looking for a responsible and compassionate Registered Nurse with top-notch clinical skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. It is also important to display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to effectively educate patients and their families on the in-home healthcare process.

Additional requirements for this role include:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • One year of RN experience required, 18 months preferred
  • Highly preferred experience in Neuro, IR, Cath Lab, ICU or PACU experience (hemodynamic monitoring, advanced airways, vents, critical care drips, IV pressers and ACLS related drugs)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • Specialty certification (ex: CCRN, CNOR, CEN) preferred 
  • Additional certification or licensure may be required for some specialty areas
