As a Population Health Pharmacy Technician, you’ll play a key role in making a real difference in patient care! You’ll help guide and support patients throughout their healthcare journey, from start to finish. Working alongside doctors, nurses, and other healthcare team members, you’ll focus on improving patient outcomes and preventing unnecessary hospital visits. You’ll be the go-to for helping patients and families with their medications and education, advocating for them with the medical team, and connecting them with important resources in the community. When needed, you’ll escalate any medication or health concerns to a pharmacist, ensuring everyone gets the care they need while reducing unnecessary hospital stays and resource use. It’s all about making sure patients get the best care in the right place, at the right time!
Required Education and Experience | High School Diploma or GED |
Preferred Education and Experience | Prefer two years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in acute and/or ambulatory settings. |
Required Licensure and Certifications | PHARMTECH:NE |
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Training | Proficient skills in reading, verbal and written communication. Strong reasoning skills in clinical decision-making. Planning and organizing, initiative and ingenuity, creativity, collaborative relationship with team members, problem solving, and ability to interpret data. Public relations and promotion of positive morale are important. Knowledge of EHR and minimal computer skills. |
