JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE
This position is responsible for supporting well-being and time-away programs (including disability): development, analysis, implementation, administration, communication, and program coordination across CommonSpirit Health. This position will work with the Manager/Director of Well-Being and Time away to enhance the overall employee experience through a comprehensive, collaborative, and holistic well-being and time-away approach emphasizing physical, emotional, social, financial, and spiritual components. This role helps support the analytics and vendor management for all well-being and time away programs.
ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for well-being and time away project coordination such as implementation of new programs, streamlining existing programs, including cost/savings of proposed programs.
2. Acts as a liaison to regions, People Connections (HR Technology), carriers, TPAs to resolve well-being and time away program elevated issues and provides clarification of benefit plan regulations and provisions.
3. Works with carriers, TPAs and Manager to develop, maintain and provide periodic reports for regions and CommonSpirit Health management as well as to discuss best practices, system-wide issues, annual renewals, and review vendor performance. If service or communication issues arise, identifies root causes and works with vendors/Payroll/People Connections team to develop solutions.
4. Works with Manager/Director to develop, review and edit benefits education/communication materials for regions and employees.
5. Writes and edits plan documents, policies, and compliance materials as needed; assists Manager/Director to fulfill well-being and time away plans compliance requirements.
6. Supports acquisitions and divestitures by serving as a well-being and time away subject matter expert for implementation efforts and providing employee impact analysis to all parties.
7. Supports benefits strategy efforts and overall administration integration in partnership with People Connections team and Benefits Integration Manager/Sr. Analyst.
8. Assesses and monitors effectiveness of current, new or proposed well-being and time away programs/initiatives and reports financial and employee impact. Conducts analysis of benefits programs for cost management and program design decision-making. Develops measurements and reviews plans’ utilization and performance against benchmarks.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent education and experience.
Two - three years of experience in managing employee well-being, time away (including disability), benefit or engagement programs, preferably for a large, multi-site employer. Bachelor’s degree (well-being or related field) or a combination of education and/or additional job related. Experience in lieu of the degree.
Required Licensure and Certifications
CEBS preferred, but not required.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training
Must possess detailed benefit knowledge including coverage provisions, legal requirements, and implementation and enrollment process. Must have a broad perspective on industry plans, trends, vendors, administrators, and financing arrangements. Must have strong knowledge of vendor fee arrangements. Must be able to work under minimal supervision.
