Schedule Requirements: 2 weekend shifts per month (Sat or Sun) and 2 holidays per year

Compensation: $30.00/hr with time and a half pay for holidays

 

As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you'll play a vital role in transforming patient care, working closely with a licensed physical therapist to bring our patients closer to achieving their recovery goals. You'll not only help implement personalized treatment plans but also communicate effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, patients, and their families. With a keen eye for organization, you'll efficiently manage your workday to ensure top-tier care, all while maintaining a deep commitment to patient safety and quality. This position demands a thorough understanding of the laws, regulations, and professional standards governing physical therapy services, as you help pave the way for better outcomes and stronger communities.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the licensed physical therapist to conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, deliver treatment, and provide education, all in alignment with state and professional practice standards.
  • Work closely within a team to create and implement coordinated care plans, ensuring accountability and progress toward achieving patient goals.
  • Maintain proficiency in documentation and billing, adhering to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Demonstrate expertise in applying quality metrics to evaluate and improve practice, regularly participating in team meetings to discuss program effectiveness and performance enhancements.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to physical therapy technicians, ensuring compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Commit to staying informed on the latest evidence-based practices and research, offering professional insights and support to colleagues in the field.
  • Support the organization’s academic mission by supervising student clinical education, under the guidance of the physical therapist.
  • Complete all mandatory training in patient safety, quality, security, and infection control within the designated timeframes, consistently demonstrating a high level of competence in daily duties.

Qualifications

Required Licensure and Certifications: Nebraska PTA license; Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
