Your Impact:

• Elevate Oncology Nursing Practice: Assess, research, coordinate, and evaluate educational and professional development programs, services, and systems, ensuring they meet the unique needs of our Med/Surg - Oncology nurses.
• Be a Role Model and Mentor: Serve as a role model, clinical nursing expert, change agent, mentor, and leader, inspiring and guiding nurses to achieve their full potential in oncology nursing.
• Drive Innovation in Oncology Care: Actively seek out and implement evidence-based practices, contributing to clinical excellence and innovation in oncology nursing education and patient care.
• Champion Quality Improvement: Provide clinical expertise and leadership to quality improvement initiatives, ensuring the delivery of exceptional, patient-centered oncology care.
• Facilitate Seamless Transitions: Coordinate and facilitate nursing transitions to practice and ongoing professional development through support of central onboarding, clinical orientation, nurse residency, fellowships, competency assessment, and preceptor and mentor programs, specifically tailored to the Med/Surg - Oncology setting.
• Develop Cutting-Edge Oncology Resources: Contribute to the development and maintenance of innovative educational tools and resources, integrating adult learning theories, organizational development principles, and a systems approach, with a focus on oncology nursing best practices.
• Shape the Future of Oncology Nursing: Play a vital role in shaping the future of oncology nursing by empowering nurses with the specialized knowledge, skills, and competencies they need to excel in this challenging and rewarding field.
• Influence System-Wide Initiatives: Serve as a consultant for organizational, divisional, and system initiatives and program development related to nursing practice, with a focus on oncology care.
