Responsibilities

$15,000 Sign On Bonus

Evaluate, plan, direct, administer Occupational Therapy services as prescribed by referring provider to restore function following injury, disease or physical disability, and wellness for prevention of disability.  Apply clinical judgment for individualized treatment and use of physical agent modalities as appropriate to maximize progress, improve functional ability of patients within the scope of the state’s practice where Occupational Therapy services are provided.

Responsible for continued evaluation and improvement of services within the department.  Promotes staff development and staff satisfaction for those working under his/her direction.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

  1. Reviews practitioner referral, patient’s condition and medical records to determine appropriate treatment plan.  
  2. Plans and prepares treatment program based on evaluation of patient data.  
  3. Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatments to achieve maximum benefit. 
  4. Records treatment, response, and progress in patient’s chart and/or enters information into the computer medical records.  
  5. Instructs patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home. 
  6. Assists in supervision of Occupational Therapy and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant students
  7. Develops, interprets and applies the departmental policies and procedures.
  8. Coordinates Occupational Therapy efforts with those of other departments and maintains open lines of communication and good working relations.
  9. Remains clinically proficient in routine work duties of the department
  10. Responsible for continual evaluation and improvement of services within the department.  Promotes staff development and staff satisfaction for those working under his/her direction.

Qualifications

Occupational Therapy Education/Accreditation

Member and credentialed with the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)

Member of or eligible for membership in American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)

AUTO:MN

AUTO-INS

Clinical knowledge base to complete evaluations, assessments, and patient treatment as an Occupational Therapist
