Responsibilities

The Administrative Secretary assists administration physicians and clinical staff by performing secretarial receptionist clerical and general office duties. This position coordinates authorizations billing scheduling admitting and the medical records of all radiation therapy patients; office equipment and supplies; coordinates such on going activities as mail supply ordering training of new office employees and volunteers; is responsible for the organization of the office and development of procedures to facilitate department operations.

Qualifications

  • Basic administrative secretarial skills with a working knowledge of computer systems including word processing and spreadsheet design and data entry; excellent interpersonal and communication skills excellent organizational skills; ability to be flexible and work collaboratively.
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Medical Terminology Order Transcription Phone Test and Unit Secretary Pre-Test.
