Overview

Pharmacy Technician I 

 

Our Pharmacy Technicians play a vital role in the medication management of our patients. They assist Pharmacists in preparing the pharmaceutical needs of our patients and serve as liaisons between Pharmacists and many medication management systems. Procures and distributes medication orders per physician request, pharmacist requests are simply a few of the important tasks our Pharmacy Techs complete in order to get out patients what they need. Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Fills physician orders, medication surgical kits, medication carts, or stock requisitions
  • Replenishes medications in emergency crash carts or floor stock areas  
  • Delivers medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas 
  • Assists in ordering, receiving, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals and supplies

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Required Licensure and Certifications

  • Texas State Board of Pharmacy Licensed Pharmacy Technician.
  • Nationally certified as Pharmacy Technician per Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
