At Northridge Hospital Medical Center, we understand that the possibility of a baby needing special care after birth can be unexpected. That's why we've invested in a brand-new, state-of-the-art Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), staffed by a team of expert neonatologists and neonatal nurses dedicated to providing exceptional care. Our NICU is a Level III facility, meaning we provide the highest level of advanced treatment for seriously ill, low birth weight, and premature babies, including micropreemies. We're equipped to handle the most complicated births and provide immediate surgery when needed, giving infants the greatest chance to thrive.
Our NICU is a State-of-the-Art Facility: Twice the size of our previous unit, featuring private rooms, double-sized rooms for twins, lactation areas, and parent/care partner sleeping accommodations.
Level III Designation: Providing advanced treatment for the most vulnerable newborns. Designed to minimize stress and meet the basic needs of warmth, nutrition, and protection to ensure proper growth and development.
