CHI Health Schuyler opened its doors on October 11 1953 serving the communities of Schuyler Clarkson Howells Leigh and the residents of rural Colfax County in Nebraska. In addition to its 25 critical access beds CHI Health Schuyler offers a wide variety of services to residents–children teens adults senior citizens friends and neighbors. Essential Key Job Responsibilities

1. Cleans and disinfects patient, ancillary and public areas as assigned daily following established procedures.
2. Operates manual, battery-powered and electric equipment such as mechanical floor cleaners and vacuums. Maintains and stores all equipment in a safe, sanitary manner.
3. Collects, handles and disposes of designated waste streams and soiled linens in the prescribed manner.
4. Completes stat and routine discharge room cleans.
5. Adheres to all hospital required Safety, Risk Management and Infection Control practices
6. Identifies and reports work orders for maintenance/refurbishing needs.
7. Inspects EVS equipment for cleanliness and need for repair.
8. Provides support with the training and orientation of new employees.
9. Greets and directs visitors, patients and staff. Provide assistance as needed.
10. Attends all meetings and training sessions as required.
11. Completes all mandatory education requirements.
12. Follows established hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
13. Initiates and promotes quality improvement, seeking to meet customer requirements and cost efficiency.
14. On occasion may perform duties of Linen Tech.
