Responsibilities

As our Medical Assistant at the Arkansas Neurosciences Institute, you will support our neurology care team in delivering exceptional patient care to individuals facing complex neurological conditions—so they can receive timely treatment with compassion and confidence.

Every day, you will assist with clinical and administrative tasks before, during, and after patient visits. You will be expected to prepare exam rooms, support providers during procedures, document patient information, and help maintain clinic efficiency while ensuring a positive experience for our patients.

To be successful in this role, you must be a graduate of a Medical Assisting program, possess strong computer literacy and communication skills, and be dedicated to quality, safety, and compassionate care.

  • Assist providers with direct patient care and neurosurgical support.

  • Take and record vital signs, prepare patients for exams, and maintain accurate records.

  • Support clinic operations by restocking rooms, cleaning equipment, and managing documentation.

  • Ensure timely follow-up by completing requested forms and correspondence.

  • Travel up to 25% of the time to support patient or provider needs within the clinic network.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Graduate of a Medical Assisting program required.
  • Medication Aide 40-Hour Course or valid MA certification required upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS-CPR) certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, electronic health records, and basic clinical procedures preferred.
