Mercy San Juan Medical Center is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to manage our Interventional Radiology Department, which is an integral part of our Comprehensive Stroke Center and includes Biplane Acute Stroke Therapies.
The IR Manager will oversee 10-15 RNs and collaborate with the Diagnostic Manager for 12-15 IR Special Procedure Techs. Our high-volume Stroke and Level 2 Trauma Center offers NM, X-ray, MRI, CT, US, and IR Imaging modalities and has three Service Lines (Neuro, Vascular, and Body IR). We currently have two Angio rooms and one Bi-plane, with plans to open a new one in September.
The ideal candidate will have experience in policy and process management, as well as procedure requirements. Responsibilities of the nursing staff in this fast-paced environment include conscious sedation, monitoring, documentation, and patient/family education for a wide range of procedures. Comprehensive Neuro education is a large part of the nursing care in this unit.
