Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Certified Pharmacy Tech at CHI Williston Health you will help our Pharmacists by safely assisting in the preparation and dispensing of medications to help our patients feel better and recover from their illness or injury.

 

You will build trust in these interactions by helping fill and distribute medication unit-dose drugs along with performing medication exchange to the the designation nursing units.

 

To be successful in this role, you must enjoy learning new concepts and researching information in real-time to provide solutions for real people. You should also continually look for ways to go above and beyond for our patients, delivering an exceptional experience.

  • Prepares, distributes and delivers medications in accordance with CSH policies and procedures, The Joint Commission requirements, and Department of Health regulations
  • Performs clerical and administrative tasks in support of the day to day operations of the department
  • Maintains proper medication and supply stock levels
  • Operates and maintains automated medication delivery systems and devices
  • Participates in department quality assurance programs and maintains appropriate quality assurance documentation
  • Trained and certified in IV admixture preparation including all regulatory and compliance requirements with required training and documentation. This may include preparation and handling of hazardous / chemotherapy medication if applicable

Job Requirements

Required

  • Graduated HS/GED equivalent and
  • Six (6) months compounding of IV medication and
  • Pharmacy Technician: North Dakota and
  • Certified Pharmacy Tech ECPT or
  • Certified Pharmacy Tech PTCB (CPT-PTCB) or
  • Certified Pharmacy Tech (CPHT)
