Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The incumbent is responsible for preparing patients for examination, assisting the healthcare provider with medical procedures, and providing reception and clerical support, including medical record maintenance

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Completion of Certified Medical Assistant Program.
  • BLS from the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to effectively interview patients and obtain comprehensive and accurate information. 
  • Triage incoming telephone calls appropriately. 
  • Display tact, discretion and confidentiality when dealing with physicians, patients and family members. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, aseptic techniques and basic medical office practices and procedures. 
  • Demonstrates appropriate telephone etiquette, alphabetical and numeric filing, various billing processes and effective customer service principles.
