RN Transition Fellow

The Transition RN Fellowship at Northridge Hospital Medical Center prepares and supports experienced nurses as they enter into a specialty unit.  Candidates must have at least 1 Year of RN Work Experience to be eligible for this program.  Positions are limited and early application is encouraged. Application period is open October 1st 2024 through October 15th at 11:59PM (ONLY).

Please Note: Required documents must be uploaded as attachments within your online application. Non-employees -- If you are selected for an interview you will be required to bring the original documents with you to the interview.

Again all necessary requirements must be met before the applicant will be considered for an interview. 

New process – internal applicants (NHMC Employees) will also be formally interviewed using the Dignity Health process.

Required

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required. 
• Graduate of Accredited RN school of Nursing required.
• Completion of an approved Basic Arrhythmia course prior to the start of the transition program (unless otherwise agreed upon by Unit Director and Education department to complete during the program)
• Registered Nurse with current CA License and current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider card required.
• ACLS 
• Successful completion of a formal Dignity Health interview process; the overall scoring of the interview consensus will be taken into consideration in determining the selection of candidate(s).
• Current employees: Must be in good standing with no disciplinary actions within the past twelve(12) months and with at least a "Meets" standards on the last 2 perfomance evaluations.
