Provides nursing care according to the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementing and evaluating. Implements appropriate nursing care interventions. Administers medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and established nursing policies and procedures. Care provided is based on defined standards of patient care and nursing evidence-based practice.

Required Education and Experience | New hire RN’s have 2 years from hire date to enroll in BSN program and it must be completed within 5 years of hire. |
Required Licensure and Certifications | Current RN license in the state of Kentucky. BLS within 5 days of employment ACLS within 3 months of employment PALS within 6 months of employment |
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training | 2 years of perioperative nursing experience. Must have ability to read, analyze and interpret common and industry-related documents. Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from patients, families, CHI Saint Joseph Health staff and the general public. Must have ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Must have the ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deliver successful results. Must have working knowledge Microsoft Office products. Must have the capacity to learn other relevant systems and databases, as needed. |
