Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Pharmacy Manager, you will be a strategic leader and clinical authority, orchestrating safe, efficient, and patient-centered pharmaceutical care delivery.

 

Every day, you will lead and supervise the pharmacy team, meticulously reviewing and authorizing prescriptions for safety (interactions, dosing, allergies). You'll oversee efficient workflow, from authorization to dispensing, and consult with doctors and nurses to troubleshoot medication issues.

 

To be successful in this role, you will possess comprehensive clinical expertise, proven leadership, and an analytical mind for process optimization. Your commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and patient safety will drive our pharmacy's success.

  • Responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of pharmacy operations and shares clinical initiatives responsibility with Clinical Pharmacy Manager if applicable
  • Assists in performance evaluation and competency assessment of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
  • Contributes to formulary management and works with health care providers to ensure formulary compliance. Participates in Strategic and Operational Planning activities and the development of the Pharmacy Department’s annual budget.
  • Educates, mentors, and evaluates pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to develop and improve skills necessary for providing pharmaceutical care. Develops and provides educational programs, learning modules, and knowledge assessment tools.
  • Educates other health care professionals regarding medications to promote optimal patient care via in-services, educational programs, face-to-face interactions, etc.
  • This position may serve as the Residency Program Director as applicable.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelors Of Science Pharmacy and Minimum of 3 years of recent pharmacy (or similar) work experience, upon hire or
  • Doctor Of Pharmacy Pharmacy and Minimum of 3 years of recent pharmacy (or similar) work experience, upon hire and
  • Pharmacist: CA, upon hire

Preferred

  • Masters Other MBA, MS, MHA, etc or Minimum of 1 year in a leadership position or pharmacy residency completed, upon hire
