Responsibilities

Position Summary:

  • Provides personalized nutrition consultation and teaches nutrition classes for the community.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching Nutrition programs and providing individualized nutrition consultation
  • RG DIETCN = Valid registration as a Registered Dietitian.
  • Licensed Dietitian through the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services
  • AUTO:NV; Valid Driver's License with the State of Nevada
  • Bachelor's Degree; RD or RD-eligible
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities and manage work within timeframes, read and analyze technical material, communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Must have a positive mental attitude and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Access, etc.
  • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to handle and maintain highly confidential information is essential
  • Able to travel locally between three hospital campuses and various community locations daily/weekly. Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends as required
  • Must have strong human relations and communications skills, with the ability to work with a variety of people and provide assistance while maintaining client dignity and self-esteem
  • Must be able to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers to include, but not limited to, other hospital departments, medical service providers and their staff, and various community agencies and their staff
  • Group process and facilitation skills required
