We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Workers' Compensation Specialist to join our team at Dignity Health St. Bernardine Medical Center. This role coordinates the operations of the Workers' Compensation program, utilizing case management methods to facilitate employees' return to maximum health and work with minimal lost time. You will administer documentation in cooperation with the Third Party Administrator (TPA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), providing coordination, planning, development, evaluation, and monitoring of the Workers' Compensation and Return to Work (RTW) programs.
As a Workers' Compensation Specialist, you will use a problem-solving process that includes assessment, problem identification, goal definition, plan development, evaluation, and revision to achieve optimal employee outcomes for work-related injuries. You will work with injured employees, the Administrator for the Self-Insured Trust, medical service providers, and employer designates. This role requires a full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health St. Bernardine Medical Center and demonstrating behavior consistent with our Core Values. You will support the hospital's strategic plan and the goals and direction of quality improvement and process improvement activities.
