Responsibilities

Join Northridge Hospital Medical Center (NHMC) as a Registered Nurse Educator and play a pivotal role in advancing nursing excellence and improving patient outcomes. As a key member of our hospital-wide education leadership team, you will collaborate with colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive clinical nursing education programs.

 

  • Lead and Collaborate: Collaborate with the hospital-wide education leadership team to oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical nursing education initiatives.
  • Design and Deliver Engaging Education: Develop and deliver innovative educational programs, utilizing a variety of teaching methods, including technology and clinical simulation, to meet the diverse learning needs of our nursing staff.
  • Promote Competency and Excellence: Coordinate competency-based orientation and ongoing staff development for assigned units, ensuring nurses are equipped with the skills and knowledge to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Serve as a Clinical Resource: Provide expert guidance and support to nurses, acting as a clinical expert and role model.
  • Drive Quality Improvement: Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.
  • Ensure Compliance and Best Practices: Maintain educational program consistency with relevant professional and regulatory standards.
  • Develop Patient Education Resources: Contribute to the development of patient education materials and programs.

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years recent clinical nursing experience required.
  • Registered Nurse with current California license required.
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field required.
  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) orrelated field preferred.
  • Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) cards required.
  • LA City Fire Safety card required within 90 days of hire
