Our Staff Nurses are critical to the success of St. Joseph's Medical Center and require the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Dignity Health.  It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.
 
Staff Nurses assesses patient/family health problems and resources, takes a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care . Provides professional nursing care and interventions to critically ill patient population(s). This position requires providing service to one or more age groups including ill children (SICU) through geriatic patients in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual services.   
 

 

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Graduate of an RN School of Nursing 
  • Current CA RN License
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Completion of a Perioperative 101 (or equivalent) course of study or two (2) years recent inpatient operating room nursing experience 
  • Current BLS ceritifcation through American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Computer literacy perferred

Preferred:

  • Bachelor degree in health related field
  • ACLS ceritifcation through American Heart Association (AHA)
